Performance Cycling Training Plan

This plan is recommended for individuals interested in competition or serious fitness. This is our most popular training plan since it includes more coach interaction and feedback at an affordable price. If you are serious about the sport and want to maximize your fitness and training time, then this is the plan for you.

At this level the athlete is investing a lot of time and money on training, entry fees, race equipment, nutritional products, and the list goes on. If you are spending that much time, energy and finances on the sport then it is wise to work with a coach. The coach can put all the pieces together for you to bring out the best in the athlete. This training plan includes more coach-athlete interaction, along with file / data review, analysis and feedback. You also have the option to have your training plan based on either power, heart rate or both. This plan gives the athlete the option to incorporate a strength training program to maximize his or her strength gains and power potential.

The training plan is custom built for the athlete and based on the main race or seasonal goal. It will include all the races or events the athlete wants to participate in and the training plan will be systematically built around the main seasonal objective. Some races or events will be used for specific training objectives, while others will be used for fitness testing to see where the athlete is (fitness-wise).

Each training block consists of 4 weeks (28 days) and is broken down into (4) 7 day cycles with Monday always being the first day of the training cycle. Each workout will be detailed with the distance, intensity and duration, along with any special notes to help better describe the workout objective. We will revise the training plan as needed through email correspondence if illness or unforeseen athlete obligations arise. This plan includes unlimited email with the coach.
